Music Video Plan

I have listened to the music video over and over and thought about my ideas to create a plan of what I want to happen at each point in my music video.

(Italic text is song lyrics)

In every shot Charlie (groom) will be shown in the same shot as Emily (bride) unless stated; this will be done in a variety of angle and shot types including over the shoulder shots and point of view, between these I will use close up shots of Emily and Charlie to show what they are doing, body language and facial expressions. The video will be made and filmed in a function room that has been set up and decorated as a wedding reception. The room will have a top table against one of the walls, a dance floor area in the centre of the room and five or six tables around the outside.

0:00-0:20- Introducing the setting looking around the room at reception using a panning shot from starting at different points from one side of the room to the other.
Music Intro

0:20- Music fades ‘Ding Ding Ding’ glass tapping, Charlie makes and announcement medium long shot of head table whilst Charlie says ‘I’d like to thank everyone for coming and I hope you’ve all have a great evening,

medium long shot into an over shoulder point of view shot  Charlie says ‘I’d like to make a toast and looks at Emily sees she’s looking away, then looks at who she’s looking at (another man)

00:24- music starts again medium long shot of Charlie
 

00:24-00:47- speeches (Emily disinterested)

00:48-01:08- Kiss and walk off, Charlie goes to kiss Emily but she turns and walks off
For months on end I've had my doubts

01:09-01:34- Meet and Greets (Emily laughing joking)

'Cause you don't think I know what you've done

01:35-01:55- Picture pull away, Charlie takes Emilys hand to take a picture she takes the hand of her mother who takes her fathers hand to create a chain as they are walking to take a picture, Emily turns to face parents then walks away from Charlie.

Even though Lord knows you have mine

01:56-02:18- Cake cut, cutting cake together Charlie looking at Emily lovingly, Emily looking at someone else in the room
You say I'm crazy

02:18 is the dimming lights empty dance floor both approach everyone sits down at tables/gathers round

02:20-2:44 dance together ending on Emily spinning out and letting go of Charlie’s hand

02:46-03:06 Charlie alone on the dance floor staring straight ahead people moving and dancing around him

3:06-03:29- panning around Charlie looking at people dancing around him ending on his face

03:29- camera on Emily then over shoulder shot looking at Charlie sad and alone, face saddens

03:30:03:41- Emily walking across the dance floor to Charlie (different types of tracking)

03:42-03:52- Emily takes Charlie’s hand smiles then begins to dance

03:52-03:58- Both kiss, people stand around clapping throw confetti, confetti balloons pop, smiling
